A SPURS CELEBRATION

When bringing White Hart Lane to Westminster is the only way to truly celebrate a simcha, it is clear how devoted this family is to their beloved Tottenham Hotspur F.C.

The Dorchester, one of the JustSeventy team’s favourite London venues, was due to be transformed into a sleek football-themed party space as it had never seen before. As valued return clients, all at JustSeventy were keen to keep standards high and ensure that Ike’s Bar Mitzvah was just as (if not more!) amazing than anything the family had seen previously. With blue Spurs blood running through our Bar Mitzvah boy’s veins, it seemed a natural yet exciting concept to merge Nike Town with Spurs… Ike’s two favourite things.

Arriving at the iconic Park Lane address, all guests received a game ‘ticket’ which would grant them access to the party of the year and send them straight to the bespoke press wall for their ‘pre-game’ photos. Every single detail and addition to the spaces had been considered and served a purpose to ensure The Dorchester spaces were breathing Spurs by the time guests flooded in. Central displays of mannequins with the official kits and boots had some expert and neon lighting all set ready to give the feeling of a custom-built Nike Town.

Once all the guests had been welcomed with drinks and canapés, the big reveal of the main space was imminent. The Dorchester  ballroom, known as one of the most traditional and grand banqueting spaces in the UK, had experienced a full room ‘wrap’ and was completely and utterly unrecognisable. Gone was the antique mirror panelling and in came the ‘locker room’ bar design. The once-seen drapes around the room were replaced with bespoke neon logos and details lending themselves to the Bar Mitzvah boy’s preferences.

Guests were welcomed by Inspiration band, flown over especially from Paris for one night only. Immediately brought into an electric party energy, the custom-printed glossy dance floor was filled in a heartbeat with guests still taking in their surroundings. Time to catch their breath from dancing, the guests took their seats and a fantastic presenter graced the stage to guide the evening in a TV-pundit-style way. He was the kind of commentator only used to being seen in pre-match interviews and half time, and slotted in perfectly to add yet another dimension to this wonderful occasion.

Surrounded by custom video content, guests enjoyed a highly immersive experience during dinner which would later carry through into all speeches as well. Aside from the intricately designed production and scenic work, the guests were truly captivated by the stunning floral displays from Rob Van Helden Floral Design. Who would have known that an abundance of white orchids, plants and candles could look anything short of perfection next to a sporty neon backdrop?!

Alongside some more partying, led by the world-renowned DJ Tony Perry, surprises and innovation continued with a secret goal-post entry to a phenomenal dessert bar, including live Chef ice cream and candy floss stations.

Even when all of the guests thought the end of the music signalled a strong finish, they weren’t done just yet. Each youngster received a custom graffiti football, with their name etched on it, while the adults were all handed a bagel from a tout at the exit to keep them going on the journey home. What a way to blow the final whistle on a phenomenal Bar Mitzvah extravaganza!
