KEEP CALM, AND BOOK A STAYCATION!

As the world is beginning to open up again, holidays and breaks are on the mind. Working from home or being furloughed has meant that staying in the same place for the past few months has taken its toll on everyone. But stepping on a plane might not be top of your priority just yet. So we want to share some amazing staycation properties that are all opening soon and ready for your arrival.

Wilderness Reserve – A collection of country houses, luxury farmhouses and holiday cottages, set within a 5000 acre private estate in Suffolk. The beautiful grounds can be explored and enjoyed on foot, bike or by boat – a great location for an escape from your lockdown setting.

Ellenborough Park – The Cotswolds remains a firm favourite of ours and over the years of planning events in this beautiful part of the UK we have kept note of some the countryside hotel properties. Ellenborough Park is getting prepared to welcome staycationers with luxury picnic hampers and bubbles and an offer of children to stay and eat for free throughout July and August.

The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa – Set in the iconic Royal Crescent, the hotel has put together some packages for couples, families and friends from food lovers to animal lovers or those who just want to explore the local surroundings.

ENIGMAGRAM

It has been really great to see how people have innovated and kept spirits high during lockdown. We’ve seen catering companies providing DIY Hampers, musicians performing concerts on Zoom, bake alongs, quiz nights, virtual escape rooms the lot! Sometimes, you can’t beat a bit of old fashioned post and to spice things up the geniuses at Enigmagram make you work hard to view your message! The concept is simple – choose who you want to send a message to, it can be a photo, video or a message (or all 3!) and Enigmagram will send out an anonymous letter together with 11 puzzles that need to be cracked to reveal a code so that your recipient can read their message. Great fun and keeps the brain working hard!

VENUE + EVENTS LIVE DIGITAL

KERB ON THE INSIDE

Our good friends at KERB parked up, went inside, put away their grills and shut Seven Dials Market whilst the coronavirus took hold. But whilst everything was quiet outside, they have been working on a weekly dose of podcasts for your entertainment!

Hosted by KERB founder Petra Barran, in conversation with some of the greatest forces in the community, KERB on the Inside is a weekly dose of the defiant, surprising and often bumpy ways that entrepreneurship, street spirit and the hospitality industry itself is finding to survive, regroup and flourish once more.
