MAYFAIR MAGIC

Discreetly tucked away in the heart of Mayfair, The Connaught has an unrivalled reputation for gastronomy and mixology amongst its other impeccable features.  This bride and groom understandably wanted a luxury base from where they would both start and finish their day and this Maybourne group hotel was the perfect fit.

Once bridal preparations were complete, the bride made her way down to the entrance where her suited-and-booted driver picked her up and took her to the ceremony just a short drive away, passing through picturesque Fitzrovia.  Formerly the Holy Trinity Church, One Marylebone is a 19th century masterpiece which, now an event venue, has the ability to welcome large numbers of guests, yet feel equally suited to intimate smaller occasions.

Set in front of the original altar area, there was an abundance of floral décor worthy of an English country garden. A mixture of foliage and blooms started by the entrance and led all the way down the aisle to where the bride and groom would tie the knot.  A moving and meaningful ceremony then led to all the guests partaking in an expertly coordinated confetti throw outside.  Dried petals showered the newlyweds in this incredibly special moment, also allowing for some beautiful photos to be captured. From One Marylebone, the guests made their way to The Connaught for the reception, while the bride and groom took the opportunity to take some photos through the iconic streets of Mayfair.

In the Mayfair Room of The Connaught, two long tables had been set for the guests with the most stunning flowers for this setting: there were ‘floating’ designs carrying a wealth of fresh flowers amidst foliage, which were then complimented by lower arrangements on the table itself. The guests were in awe of the beauty of their table settings, leaving the bride and groom to look on proudly from their top table.

Complementing sumptuous food and delicious wine choices, the live music provided by the Diamond Boys elevated this beautiful wedding even further. Their lively melodies and joyful demeanour brought a cheerful energy to the wedding breakfast, leaving all guests with a smile.  Leading on from this group’s music sets, the bride and groom took to the dance floor for their first dance. They shared this beautiful moment before the bride headed upstairs to her suite for a quick outfit change. She had chosen a spectacular beaded evening dress which gave her a new sparkly look for the party ahead.

London-based entertainment company ALR provided their dance floor-filling group BEAT to bring the party alive. Endless energy, incredible mash-ups and powerhouse vocals were loved by every guest in the room, which could be judged by the ever-full dance floor.

As BEAT ended the evening on a high, it was time for the bride and groom to bid farewell before making the very short journey upstairs to their honeymoon suite.
