When you have a need for space and a desire for first class service, The Dorchester would be a perfect fit for many couples. This JustSeventy couple loved their venue choice however saw a décor reinvention on the cards in terms of design and production.
The concept of ‘Soho Farmhouse meets Shoreditch’ was born in a ballroom on Park Lane, and it was quite simply phenomenal. The creative design from JustSeventy was done with much care and consideration to perfectly fit these themes.
Exposed brick took away the ornate ballroom detail and created a raw surface on which beautiful quotes could be displayed. The quotes illustrated the couple’s journey with notes such as street names they had lived on, or significant dates they had shared.
The plant-lined entrance felt like a farmhouse and instantly set the tone. With creative design and production, the JustSeventy team always know the right touches. A carefully selected collection of mismatched chairs still complemented each other perfectly yet gave the room a rustic feel.
Elegant but raw timber combined with filament bulbs pulled on known elements from Shoreditch warehouses and worked beautifully within that setting. Lighting is always so vital, particularly when there is a great level of detail. Very natural and focusing on the features in the room, the well-positioned lighting allowed the high level of design to shine through.
From a sweetheart table for the couple in a room filled with exquisite floral displays they must have had quite the view. Trees and varieties of foliage were cleverly mixed with pops of colours.
Taking a well-known institution of a venue and changing the design completely isn’t an easy task but one that the JustSeventy team relish. A beautiful traditional venue space to be reinvented… challenge accepted.
