DORCHESTER DREAMS

Floral architecture mixed with innovative production really is quite the combination when creating a show-stopping wedding. The Dorchester, standing majestically on Park Lane, was the perfect location for these clients to wed.

Guests were welcomed into a beautifully draped and spectacularly lit area of the events space at The Dorchester, and a regal yet contemporary Chuppah was the focus of all guests’ attention. The mirror trim of the Chuppah peeped through amidst a sea of elegant hydrangeas which adorned the entire design, and provided the most romantic of covers under which to wed. The raised stage being central allowed chairs to curve round the perimeter, giving every single guest a wonderful and unique view. Everything remained white, clean and minimalistic and it was magical to watch the guests be taken in by such a scene.

The floral mastery did not end with this exquisite Chuppah, Rob Van Helden exceeded the bride and groom’s expectations when it came to dressing the dinner tables. After the ceremony, the teams waved their wands and the Ballroom was transferred into an enchanted garden. Mirror-topped round tables, subtle perspex chairs and beautifully designed stationery all came together, with the most phenomenal floral centrepieces.  Almost creating a scene from a pergola in an Italian garden at every table, a foliage structure with yet more white hydrangeas and roses, was completed with elegant hanging lanterns. An abundance of candles combined with classic white and cream tones against dark foliage was truly timeless. It was a joy for the JustSeventy team to focus on lighting the room in such a way that the designs were only enhanced.  Understandably, the bride and groom were blown away at the end result after months of planning, and the guests enjoyed being transported to a far-away land… on Park Lane.
