A woodland is a calm, peaceful and beautiful environment to hold a wedding. Combining natural lighting with darker shadows, creating romance and intimacy, it is no wonder that a woodland garden was the basis for this JustSeventy couple’s wedding theme.
The bride, groom and all of their guests arrived at the iconic Claridge’s hotel in Mayfair on buses from their ceremony elsewhere… and enjoyed a sophisticated drinks reception in the Ballroom Foyer. The entrance was lined with leafy green trees, to set the scene from the beginning.
To welcome the guests, a grand piano had been positioned in the centre of the Foyer on a custom-built stage. Engulfed in foliage, the live pianist and singer provided beautiful music for guests to enjoy on arrival and over a glass of champagne during the reception.
On cue, the doors opened and guests were welcomed into the most romantic foliage-filled transformation of Claridge’s ballroom. The stunning symmetry of three long tables, each adorned with multiple trees per table, was exquisite and a visual dream. Guests were given the impression of being in an enchanted garden while they enjoyed a delicious banquet.
Talented acoustic buskers made their way around the dinner tables, increasing the energy with every song, an effective way to transition into the party.
To the guests’ surprise, the doors to the Mirror Room opened and a hidden nightclub was revealed for all to enjoy. A contrast to the calm reception and dinner environments, the bride and groom were only too pleased to invite their guests to the dance floor and party the night away.
